We had an opportunity to present The COOL and to silence any fires around this rather contravertial topic!
I made screen prints to have a reasonable record of the attendees. The link to the Webex presentation was shared with many of the nay sayers on the SARL forum. Whether they attended or not is no longer an issue for those that did attend have gotten the background of The COOL from the horses mouth as it were.
Positive feedback from Hans ZS6AKV, Dennis ZS4BS and Nico ZS6QL was all we needed. Once I get the link to the whole webinar I will create a video of all the highlights like the realization that FIVE NINE NINE’s mean nothing, that points cannot be allocated for contest QSO’s made with non-participants or those browsing the bands “giving away points”.
My good friend Rassie ZS1YT has requested a PIN and is enthusiastic about using The COOL even though not that active on HF.
No one will block us from entering our COOL Sprint, supported by The COOL logging system, in next year’s contest manual, “The Blue Book” with same day results produced by The Evaluator. Many will then wonder why we are still using excel spreadsheets! Try sending a spreadsheet to the ARRL ….. Cabrillo is fine as it contains all the data needed to evaluate logs by a “Robot” ….. Much like The COOL. We are just a little more OPEN.
We have won the battle and are now recognised for our futuristic vision of The COOL within Amateur Radio.
Mike ZS6MSW did make his own video capture of the COOL session and can be seen here:
Great presentation Eddie on the COOL logging logbook 🙂
Thank you Pat 🙂
